Sheffield Utd goalkeeper Simon Moore convinced about Euro qualification

Sheffield United goalkeeper Simon Moore is backing his side to qualify for Europe next season.

The Blades currently sit in seventh on the table and will kick off the Premier League restart in their catch-up game against Aston Villa on June 17.

Chris Wilder's side are just five points from fourth-placed Chelsea, and Moore has faith his teammates can pull off an incredible end to the season.

"Ever since I've been here, it's been a really tight-knit dressing room," Moore said.

"It's such a good group of lads that wants to do well but it's also a really talented group. Because hard work, at this level, only takes you so far.

"Going into the Premier League, the lads have really shown what they're about. They've shown they belong at this level and deserve to be where they are.

"I take my hat off to the gaffer and the recruitment staff for what they've done."

Moore also said that manager Wilder will not allow his squad to lose their focus.

He added: "We've got 10 games left and we're in a fantastic position.

"The gaffer won't let us let that slip. We were the favourites to go down at the start of the season, and now we have a chance of going into Europe.

"We're going to do everything we can in the next few weeks to make that possible."
