Sheffield United have been boosted by news about John Egan's injury this week.
Eagen came off on the 68th minute during a 2-2 draw at Bramall Lane against Everton.
While fans were concerned about Eagen being out for several weeks or months, the prognosis is positive.
Boss Paul Heckingbottom said post-game: “Egs was knee and ankle but he didn't feel his knee in the second half, he would have carried on but I could see it was affecting him and it was my call really."
He added: “We can't stop them from going away. If Ireland want to see and assess him then they will. If he's not fit, he doesn't play and if he is, then he'll play."
The Star adds that Egan could even be fit in time for the Premier League resumption after the international break.
