Sheffield United in for Hearts captain Zaliukas

Sheffield United are eager to sign Heart of Midlothian captain Marius Zaliukas.

The 28-year old Lithuanian centre-back could be on his way out at Tynecastle this summer with owner Vladimir Romanov keen to cut his wage bill and Blades boss Danny Wilson is believed to be keen.

A source close to the Bramall Lane club, who take on Huddersfield Town in the Championship promotion play-off on Saturday, says that Zaliukas is a player they are considering.

"Zaliukas is a name that's on our list," the source told Record Sport.
