There has been 30 applications for the vacant managerial post at Meadow Lane, revealed Notts County chairman Peter trembling. "We're not going to rush into making an appointment, but we have had 30 applications for the job," Trembling said.
"It has to be someone who can get us out of this division this season. It has to be somebody who knows League Two and who can pull what we still believe is the best squad in the division into the top three."
Last week, former England Under-21 manager Peter Taylor expressed an interest in the job, and Trembling acknowledged that he is the kind of candidate who could fit the bill.
"He is a high-calibre manager and he knows this division," said the County chairman. "We should be looking at managers of his quality."
