Shearer slams two Everton players in West Ham aftermath

Former England captain Alan Shearer has taken aim at two Everton players ahead of their relegation clash with Burnley.

Speaking after defeat to West Ham, former Newcastle United man Shearer was critical of the way Frank Lampard's side hit the self-destruct button. The Premier League great was also full of praise for Creswell's opener.

“We said at half-time it was probably a little bit harsh on Everton, but Everton can only blame themselves," he told DAZN Canada.

“A stupid mistake from (Alex) Iwobi that costs them a goal and then another stupid error as they go down to 10-men (Michael Keane). Once that happened it was just about seeing the game out for West Ham."

Before Shearer added on West Ham's first goal: “Sometimes, you just have to sit there, hold your hands up and say 'you know what, that is brilliant'.

“You have got no chance of stopping that, whoever is in goal and however far across your line you are. You are just not stopping that.

“It's just magnificent. We saw Ward-Prowse with one yesterday, from the other side with his right foot against Leeds. This was equally as good from the other side from Cresswell. Magnificent. Superb."
