Xherdan Shaqiri admits Lukas Podolski convinced him about moving to Inter Milan.

Shaqiri had offers from across Europe after deciding to leave Bayern Munich this month, including from Atletico Madrid and Liverpool.

However, the Swiss admits Inter's deal for Arsenal attacker Podolski made up his mind.

"He was a fundamental presence," declared Shaqiri. "He has influenced my choice."

Shaqiri has joined Inter on an initial loan, with a permanent deal to 2019 to be triggered in June.
