Shanghai Shenua looking for form reversal against Kashima Antlers

Shanghai Shenhua will need to turn their form right around if they are to qualify for the round of 16 in the Asian Champions League.

The Chinese Super League club are currently third on the Group G table and require a win against top side Kashima Antlers and hope Suwon Bluewings lose to the winless Singapore Armed Forces.

The fact that Shanghai have been under par in their performances makes this scenario unlikely as coach Jia Xiuquan admitted.

"The team's current form is really not satisfactory," said Jia.

"Players are tired and injuries of the key players such as Du Wei and Chen Tao are making it more difficult for us.

"But we can't cave in to the difficulties, and we want to win the last ACL game to reward our supporters.

"Since we are still alive, we must give an all-out effort to pursue a victory," Jia added.

"We must put in a 100% effort to chase the 1% chance."
