Reigning Chinese Super League champions Shandong Luneng only managed a draw in their opening encounter for the season.
Shandong were kept to a 1-1 result by Shenzhen FC despite the second-half performance of former FC Koln midfielder Roda Antar.
The Lebanese international set up Lu Zheng's goal in the 77th minute to tie up the clash and grab a point in a disappointing performance at home.
