Shandong Luneng have put their opening match loss behind them with a much-improved performance against Indonesian club Sriwijaya.
The Chinese Super League champions lost 3-0 to Gamba Osaka in their first Asian Champions League group match but were able to redeem themselves with a brilliant 5-0 victory at the Shandong Sports Centre.
Three goals in the first 25 minutes set up the win for the home side, beginning with a Lin Jinyu volley in the 15th minute.
Just four minutes later, Li Wei added a second via a 25-yard free-kick that gave Sriwijaya goalkeeper Dede no chance.
The game was essentially finished when Li Jinyu netted his second, this time with a powerful left-footer from the edge of the area.
The Indonesians could not get into the game and were being thoroughly out played and it showed further when substitute Miljan Mrdakovic grabbed a brace within four minutes to round off the rout.
Shandong jumps to second on the Group F table with the win whilst Sriwijaya are struggling at the foot with no points and a goal difference of minus seven.
