Shakira has revealed Barcelona great Gerard Pique considered returning to Manchester United after falling out with then coach Pep Guardiola

Shakira, who has now split from Pique, also states Pique did not get along with the now Manchester City manager.

The pop star recalled to El Pais: "Gerard [Pique] had a rather complicated relationship with Barça.

"With Guardiola he had a super-tense relationship, of 'you go or I go'. It was a situation that made him suffer a lot."

Shakira also stated Pique considered a return to Old Trafford when Luis Enrique was appointed as coach, replacing Tata Martino.
