Shakhtar Donetsk boss Mircea Lucescu has dismissed rumours linking them with Arsenal midfielder Andrey Arshavin.
In a mark of how Arshavin's star has fallen from 2008 Ballon d'Or nominee to under-performing Arsenal forward, Lucescu has dismissed suggestions that the Ukrainian champions would splash out on him.
"I now have a very strong team of young players, whose average age is 27-28 years," said the Romanian.
"We do not need Arshavin."
