The Scottish Football Association has fined Mike Ashley for being in breach of club ownership rules.
The SFA has served the billionaire with a £7,500 fine after breaking the guidelines regarding his involvement with both Newcastle United and Rangers.
Ashley owns Premier League outfit Newcastle and last year purchased 9.82% of Glasgow club Rangers while lending them £13million in two separate loans as they fell into financial difficulty late last year and earlier in 2015.
The SFA held a hearing over the past two days which found that Ashley had broken the stipulated dual ownership rules while the Ibrox club will now face their own separate charges on the matter at Hampden Park on March 16.
