Sevilla's Alves desperate for Chelsea move

Sevilla wing-back Daniel Alves admits he's desperate to join Jose Mourinho's Chelsea.

Alves said: "You have to make the most of your opportunities - a footballer's career is very short. I always said that I wanted to leave Sevilla on a high and after the way things went last season we are on an all-time high and if an offer comes in... well it's not that I want to leave but you have to take the opportunities.

"I would like that if an offer came in for me the club will study it. And of course I would like to leave here with the president by my side in a press conference, although my thoughts right now are on playing in the Champions League with Sevilla."

The player added that he was not going to get "over-excited" about the possibility of moving to Chelsea, aware that the £20m Seville are demanding for his signature might put Roman Abramovich off.
