Sevilla have dropped a big hint they're ready to end their pursuit of West Brom midfielder Borja Valero.
Sevilla president José María del Nido claims Albion are seeking in the region of £6.6 million for Borja, but the Baggies insist they have not put a valuation of that much on him.
"We are ruling out Borja because West Bromwich Albion want 8 million and Sevilla have offered four," said Del Nido.
"We felt this is his market price because that is the price he could have signed for Mallorca for before May 31. We respect the price that West Bromwich Albion put on their player.
"But the market value of players has dropped by 50 per cent and this will be taken into account when we deal in the transfer market. Although in football you cannot say 'never drink this water', I answer honestly and say that we have ruled out the signing and we're looking at other horizons.
"And if these negotiations are closed we will not look back."
