Sevilla have emerged as a surprise suitor for Liverpool's Joe Allen.

According to reports in Spain, the Spanish club have joined Swansea City in the race for the Welsh midfielder.

Allen could be offloaded by Jurgen Klopp this summer, after failing to feature regularly under the German, and it is believed that Sevilla are now showing significant interest.

It is understood that 26-year-old Allen, who has been in fine form for Wales at Euro2016, would cost any interested clubs around £10million.

Swansea are keen to bring Allen back to the Liberty Stadium after selling him to Liverpool for £15m in 2012 while Sevilla see him as the perfect replacement for Ever Banega who is set to join Inter Milan.
