Sevilla coach Diego Alonso had no complaints after their 2-1 home defeat to Champions League opponents Arsenal.
Gabriel Jesus scored one and created the other Gabriel Martinelli as Arsenal won 2-1 in Spain. Nemanja Gudelj's header offered the hosts hope, but Arsenal held on.
Alonso later said: "I think the first goal was a blow which hurt the team, especially at the start of the second half.
"After their second goal, the team improved. You can't argue about the ambition of the team. I think we had 12 shots to 15 from them but we lacked clarity in the final third.
"My players left everything out there today. We didn't get the result we wanted but this isn't over yet – there are three games left and we have a dream which is to reach the last 16."
