Luis Fernandez is on the shortlist of coaching names Racing Santander's board are sifting through.

Estadio Deportivo says former Athletic Bilbao and Real Betis coach Fernandez is under consideration by Racing, along with six other names.

Lorenzo Serra Ferrer, Pablo Alfaro, Giovanni di Biasi, Quique Setién, Javier Clemente and Javier Irureta are also in the frame.

Racing currently lie 17th on the Primera Liga table.
