Serie A coaching legend Sandro Mazzola has backed Roberto Mancini for the Real Madrid job.

Mancini has ended his contract agreement with Inter Milan in the last 48 hours, fueling talk he is set to takeover at Real.

"Mancini in Madrid? Roberto is ready for a club so prestigious, he has already proved himself in such a situation, both technically and in character," said Mazzola.
