Senegal coach Aliou Cisse has rejected doubts about goalkeeper Edouard Mendy.

Cisse was asked about Chelsea goalkeeper Mendy's up and down form at club level.

He insisted he is a "top level goalkeeper" and has no doubts he will step up to the challenge at this World Cup.

"He is one of the best in the world, that is still the case," said Cisse.

"I am sure he will prove in the World Cup he is one of those top goalkeepers."
