Sigi Schmid admits he is not surprised by the fluid attacking partnership formed by two of his Seattle Sounders stars.
Clint Dempsey and Obafemi Martins starred as the Sounders defeated New York City FC 3-1 at Yankee Stadium on Sunday and their performance as a dynamic duo was warmly welcomed by their boss.
"Nothing surprises me with those two guys," Schmid told reporters after the game.
"They're just like that. I see it at practice all the time. They're able to conjure up magical stuff.
"They're unique and special and we're happy to have them on our team."
Martins netted twice and Dempsey once to take their respective season tallies to six and five from eight matches. They have also combined for six assists.
