Seattle Sounders star Freddie Ljungberg is in doubt for this weekend's clash with New York Red Bulls at Qwest Field. The 32-year old Swedish midfielder's back was injured in the season-opening win over expansion franchise Philadelphia Union, who he later criticised for playing a very physical game, and he has confirmed that he is unsure if he will get up for the week 2 fixture.

"We don't know yet," said Ljungberg. "If I can't (drain) the fluid away I can't play. We were off this weekend, I stayed in the whole weekend to get treatment and everyday to get treatment, and hopefully it will help, but we don't know yet."
