Seattle Sounders GM Adrian Hanauer expects more changes to the MLS playoffs next season.
With Montreal joining MLS in 2012, it's likely the league will go to an unbalanced schedule next year - a move that might necessitate the use of conferences.
"I think that in a growing league it's almost going to be year-to-year sort of looking at how you do it," Hanauer told the Seattle Times. "There's a competition committee meeting coming up real soon. That'll, I'm sure, be on the agenda."
Hanauer said the league is always open to changes.
"We're a small, growing business," he said. "We want to listen to our customers, and we want to provide the best product possible with the constraints and realities that we deal with."
