The Seattle Sounders has extended its licensing deal with Ruffneck Scarves, reports . The Seattle-based brand, which is currently the officially licensed scarf provider to MLS, will produce custom scarves for Sounders season ticket holders for the fourth year running.
Indeed, in each of its three seasons in existence, the club has achieved the highest average attendance in MLS. Last year's average was 38,496.
"Our relationship with MLS began with those thousands of scarves for the Sounders' inaugural season ticket holders in 2009, and like everyone else we still get chills when the scarves are raised for the team's entrance and you see that wall of rave green throughout the stadium," added McIntyre.
The Sounders are just one of a number of MLS teams whose scarves are made by Ruffneck. The others are: the Colorado Rapids, Columbus Crew, D.C. United, Montreal Impact, New York Red Bulls, Philadelphia Union, Portland Timbers and Vancouver Whitecaps FC.
"Scarves and passionate fan support have become synonymous with Sounders FC stadium atmosphere," said Ruffneck Scarves president Jeff McIntyre.
