Seattle could be the host for an upcoming World Cup qualifier according to US Soccer president Sunil Gulati.
Gulati told reporters prior to Wednesday night's clash with Honduras in San Pedro Sula that 'There is the possibility of an announcement. Yes, soon.'
The USA host Panama on June 11 and Honduras on June 18 with both matches yet to have a host city confirmed but Seattle Sounders' CenturyLink Field is expected to get one of those fixtures.
The US lost 2-1 to Honduras in their opening final round match of 2014 qualifying and will be looking to bounce back when they host Costa Rica on Colorado on March 22.
