Released Tottenham defender Victor Zapata-Caicedo is trialling with Scunthorpe United.
The Scunthorpe Telegraph says he was released by the Premier League club 18 months ago having come through their academy.
In October Zapata-Caicedo, who is of Colombian nationality but grew up in London, spent time with League Two side Portsmouth in an attempt to win a contract.
The 20-year-old could not help the Iron to victory in the North East. They were beaten 4-2 by the Conference club, with Kyle Wootton and Curtis Bateson on the scoresheet for what was a young Iron team.
