Scunthorpe's Nelson set to join Kilmarnock

Scunthorpe United defender Michael Nelson is on the verge of joining Scottish club Kilmarnock.

The 31-year old arrived at Glanford Park last January but is set to sign a two-and-a-half-year deal with Killie who are excited about his impending arrival.

"We are delighted to get a player with this level of experience," Kilmarnock chairman Michael Johnston told STV.

"He will add a great deal to our team."

Nelson counts the likes of Bury, Hartlepool United and Norwich City among his former clubs.
