Rangers are ten points clear at the summit of the SPL after a narrow 1-0 home win over Hibernian courtesy of a strike by Kyle Lafferty in the second half. Steven Whittaker had earlier missed from the penalty spot just before the break.
Motherwell were 3-1 winners at Dundee United thanks to a Michael Higdon brace and a Keith Lasley strike. Jon Daly pulled one back for United 13 minutes from the end but Well comfortably held on for their sixth win in 10 SPL games.
Inverness remain bottom a point behind Dunfermline after they came from behind to beat St Mirren 2-1.
