BBC Scotland has extended its deal to broadcast the Scottish League Cup until 2016, reports www.sportspromedia.com/. The free-to-air channel will provide live coverage of four matches each year, including a semi-final and the Hampden Park final, throughout the 2013/14, 2014/15 and 2015/16 seasons.
The tournament has been broadcast exclusively on BBC Scotland since 2004.
Additionally, BBC Radio Scotland will carry live coverage of the games, while highlights and some live content will be available on the BBC Sport website.
The tournament, which begins on 3rd August, is run by the Scottish Professional Football League (SPFL) - the newly formed league soccer body in Scotland, created in June after the country's 42 professional clubs agreed a merger between the Scottish Premier League (SPL) and the Scottish Football League (SFL).
