Scott Allan is confident of making the grade at West Bromwich Albion.
The midfielder completed his move from Dundee United yesterday.
Allan told the WBA website: "There are a lot of good football players in Scotland who like to get on the ball and make passes but sometimes, because of the way the games go and the pitches, you don't get the best of that.
"To come down here and play on the best pitches, with better players, means you can show that.
"I'm from Glasgow originally and I lived in Dundee since I was 16.
"I should settle in fine because if you've got football you're okay.
"I'll be on my own but hopefully friends and family will come down and visit."
