Scotland boss hoping Celtic's Brown available for Euro clashes

Craig Levein is keeping his fingers crossed that Scott Brown is available for Scotland's vital Euro2012 qualifiers next month. The Celtic captain is being dogged by an ongoing ankle injury which forced him off later in Sunday's Old Firm derby loss to Rangers.

Scotland, currently situated third on the Group I table and two points behind second-placed Czech Republic, take on Liechtenstein and group leaders Spain on October 8 and 11 respectively.

However, Levein fears he may be without Brown for the two important matches which will define whether or not the Scots make it to Poland and Ukraine next year.

} "I'll speak to Scott in the next few days and hopefully it's positive news," Levein said.

"With two massive games coming up we want all our best players available and Scott comes into that category."

Scotland need at least four points from the two remaining matches and hope that the Czechs take no more than two from their meetings with Spain and Lithuania.
