Chelsea boss Luiz Felipe Scolari is confident he has the full support of his players.

Scolari played down bust-ups in a fractious team meeting earlier this week and insisted he has the full support of his star-studded squad.

Ivory Coast Didier Drogba has also hit out at Scolari saying the Brazilian boss was 'scared' to play him alongside Nicolas Anelka.

But he said: "I never, never in my life criticise my players. Why? The players love me because I never say you, you or you are wrong. That's wrong. It's OUR mistake.

"The players like me, love me, because I defend them every day and give my best for them every day.

"The spirit is different now because we look at the last game and we have made mistakes we have not made before.

"We know now if we follow the wrong way many times we will not arrive in finals.

"Team meetings are normal. I don't have one every day. But after a game I do. I think all the coaches in the world do this but at Chelsea, if you have one meeting, it's a terrible situation.

"They don't come in and say 'I love you' but your wife or your son does not come in every day and say 'I love you, I love you' but you know she loves you. You know your son loves you.

"You know your players love you, like you, because we've had situations where it is possible to know this."
