Schweinsteiger, Januzaj part of NINE to be offloaded by Man Utd boss Mourinho

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho is set to clean out his squad by getting rid of as many as nine players.

The Daily Mail reports that Mourinho has told the likes of Bastian Schweinsteiger, Adnan Januzaj, Andreas Pereira and James Wilson that they will not feature in his plans for season 2016/17.

The nine players have been informed by Mourinho that they can leave Old Trafford, either permanently, or on loan.

Germany captain Schweinsteiger is likely to be sold despite having two years to run on his contract wth the Red Devils. French champions PSG are reported to be interested.

Belgian winger Januzaj continues to be linked with a move to Sunderland to link up with former United boss David Moyes while Pereira is set to be loaned out in a bid to gain first-team experience.

Striker Wilson, who spent time with Brighton & Hove Albion last term, is also due for another loan with Premier League returnees Hull City and a host of Championship clubs keen.

The other players to be sent out by Mourinho are promising defenders Tom Fosu-Mensah, Paddy McNair, Tyler Blackett, Cameron Borthwick-Jackson and striker Will Keane.
