Schwarzer set to hold Fulham talks after World Cup

Mark Schwarzer will hold discussions with Fulham after finishing his duties with the Australian national team at the World Cup. The 37-year old goalkeeper is being targeted by Arsenal who have recently stepped up their interest in his services as they search for a well-priced, quality shot-stopper.

The Socceroos number one has a year remaining on his contract at Craven Cottage and will reportedly hold talks when he returns to London from South Africa.

Fulham would want about £4million ($AUD6.9million) for Schwarzer which would come well in the Gunners' price range and it is believed the Cottagers have already enquired about possible replacements including Portsmouth and England number one David James.

It is believed that German Bundesliga club Wolfsburg are also interested in Schwarzer.
