FC Koln chief Jörg Schmadtke has confirmed Chelsea have a recall option for Tomas Kalas.
The young defender's loan spell with Koln has been a struggle for the Czech Republic youngster and it is expected to be ripped up in January.
"Chelsea has the right to call him back if he makes too few appearances," admits Schmadtke.
QPR are keen to takeover Kalas' loan from Koln for the second-half of the season.
The defender proved his Premier League class last season with a famous debut appearance for victory at Liverpool.
