German club Schalke have made it clear that they have no plans to offload Leon Goretzka.

The 20-year-old German midfielder is an £11.2million target for Southampton, who sent scouts to watch him on the weekend.

However, Schalke general manager Horst Heldt has made it clear that the Gelsenkirchen outfit have not intentions of selling the talented youngster.

Heldt told BILD: "We do not have the intention to sell Leon.

"Leon Goretzka is under contract at our club."
