Schalke chief Horst Heldt expects a decision from Lewis Holtby at the New Year.

The Germany winger is off contract in June and a target for Liverpool and Arsenal.

"We are in the final phase of negotiations and before the end of the year expect a final decision," said Heldt. "No-one has called us and our aim is still to renew his contract."
