Schalke chairman Clemens Tonnies says they won't block Benedict Howedes from moving on this summer.

The defender is being linked with Arsenal and Tottenham this week.

Tonnies said: "Currently, this isn't an issue for us.

"I would, however, say that for any player, who has enjoyed good times with Schalke and then says: 'I want do something else', we would take it on board.

"If Benni did this, I would, however, have tears in my eyes."
