Lewis Holtby will move to Tottenham before the end of the winter transfer window if he passes a medical on Tuesday.
The Schalke midfielder signed a pre-contract agreement with Spurs earlier this month to join at the end of the season but the North London club increased their pursuit of him following the season-ending injury to Sandro.
Spurs will pay £1.5million for the 22-year old who will now arrive at White Hart Lane about five months ahead of schedule.
