Fiorentina defender Stefan Savic admits they've been missing Mario Gomez.

Gomez has missed a large chunk of the season with a knee injury.

"We have missed Gomez," he told Brivido Sportiva. "He's such a strong player - a true champion.

"He has infinite quality, so his return will mean we can really fight for third place.

"When we defend, we do it as one, so it's clear that we could perhaps score a few more goals.

"Mario will give us that."
