Sao Paulo defender Miranda delighted to make Atletico Madrid move

Sao Paulo defender Miranda will undergo a medical at Atletico Madrid today.

While he signed for Atletico in January, Miranda played out the remainder of the season for Sao Paulo.

He is now in Madrid and could be unveiled to the local media this afternoon. Miranda rejected an approach from Blackburn Rovers to stick to his agreement with Atletico.

"I am very happy to get to Atletico," he told reporters upon touching down in Madrid yesterday.
