Santos goalkeeper Rafael Barbosa Cabral is being followed by Tottenham. Spurs are in the market for a new keeper signing as they seek cover for 41 year-old No1 Brad Friedel. Current deputies Carlo Cudicini and Heurelho Gomes are both expected to leave Spurs in the summer.
Rafael, 22, has been first-choice at Santos in the last two years and his form has attracted the interest of big European clubs, including Tottenham and AC Milan.
Santos are only seeking €2 million for Rafael and Spurs are now weighing up a firm bid for the youngster.
The Londoners have become increasingly active in the Brazilian transfer market in recent seasons after the capture of former Internacional midfielder Sandro and the loan deal for Sao Paulo defender Bruno Uvini.
