Newcastle United full-back Davide Santon has dismissed reports he wants to return to Italy. The 21-year-old has been linked with a return, but he is playing well for Newcastle and insists he is happy in England.
"Return to play in the Italian league? I always root for Inter Milan and I like Serie A but now I am fine in England and I am happy at Newcastle," he told Sky Sport Italia.
He also admitted his delight at the chance to add to his tally of seven Italian caps.
"I'm happy to be back in Azzurri. I did not expect it and it was good news, I'm glad to meet all my friends," he said.
