Roque Santa Cruz has promised Blackburn fans there's more to come from him after a scoring debut in Saturday's win at Middlesbrough.
Santa Cruz said: "I enjoyed my first game very much, we worked so hard to get the three points, and I can also go home very happy because I scored on my debut. That will give me confidence to go on from here.
"We have great crossers in our team with Pedersen and Bentley. I think I will enjoy playing with them."
Blackburn manager Mark Hughes said: "People have tried to dismiss Roque because of his time at Bayern but maybe those people were not in full possession of the facts
"He was just coming in and out of the side and as a striker you need a settled run and he never had that and as a result his goal tally was not as good as it might have been.
"We saw in the short time he has on the field he had got great qualities. He's a threat in the air but he's quick for a big guy - he just blew on a Middlesbrough player and left the crowd gasping.
"He has great quality and he's going to have a great season for us."
