Leroy Sane made an appeal to Bayern Munich management as they considered their punishment for Sadio Mane.
Mane has been fined by Bayern and suspended for one game after physically attacking Sane after their Champions League defeat at Manchester City this week. It's been suggested former Liverpool striker Mane's fine is a staggering €500,000.
Bild says Sane urged the club not to axe Mane because of the row.
Bayern chief exec Oliver Kahn and sporting director Hasan Salihamidžić considered terminating Mane's contract over the clash.
But the pair agreed to listen to Germany international Sané, who argued for Mane, insisting the situation had been blown out of proportion.
