Sandro insists goals will flow for Spurs pal Soldado

Sandro insists Roberto Soldado will start scoring for Tottenham.

The Spaniard's form is in stark contrast to Gareth Bale's performances last season, when his 26 goals not only made Spurs a major force but convinced Real Madrid to pay a world record £86m for him in the summer.

Sandro, though, is sure that the Spurs attack will soon find its range.

"I am close with Roberto and he is fine," Sandro told the London Evening Standard. "He has got spirit and is a great guy. It's not just about him, it's about the team and we have to create more chances for him.

"The goals will come for him and the team. At the moment things aren't going our way, like the defeat against Newcastle when their goalkeeper, Tim Krul, was amazing.

"Gareth is the best player I have played with so it was always going to be difficult when we lost such a big player. But now we have a lot of players and it helps in other positions.

"Some of them are like me when I arrived - they will need a bit of time to adapt to the English game, the club, the way we play. But this team can fight to win something this season, to be a top team."
