Fulham boss Lawrie Sanchez is planning to buy in the January market.
"We'd like to freshen up the team anyway," he said. "We spoke about it the other day and we look forward to doing some business in January.
"There was money to spend in the summer, we didn't spend it all and we have it within this year's budget.
"We've got players coming back, hopefully we'll have fresh recruits in January and we can push on. We'll have the experience of this group of players being together which will be beneficial."
Sanchez targeted British-based players in the summer but hinted at looking at foreign signings in January.
"We're widening the net," he added. "We wanted to keep it to players that knew what the game was about. That's been proven."
