San Jose Earthquakes fail to re-sign Busch, Harris

Experienced pair Jon Busch and Atiba Harris will be placed in the MLS Re-Entry Draft after not being offered new contracts by San Jose Earthquakes.

38-year old goalkeeper Busch has been with the Quakes since 2010, making over 150 appearances, while 29-year old winger Harris only joined from Colorado Rapids prior to the start of the 2014 MLS season.

The duo will now be available in Friday's Stage One Re-Entry Draft with the second stage to take place on December 18 along with forward Billy Schuler, goalkeeper Billy Knutsen, defender Andreas Gorlitz and defender Tommy Muller who had their options declined by the Quakes.

San Jose, who finished bottom of the Western Conference table and second bottom overall in 2014, have second pick in the Re-Entry Draft behind Montreal Impact.
