San Jose Earthquake's winger Bobby Convey has been named the 2010 MLS Comeback Player of the Year.
The 27-year old former Reading man returned from a serious knee injury to lead the Quakes into the Eastern Conference final, after he managed a team-high 10 assists throughout the season.
He was cut down by the injury in 2008, causing him to miss the 2009 pre-season which affected his performances last year but he bounced back in 2010 to be one of MLS' most consistent midfielders.
Convey got the nod ahead of New York Red Bulls defender Chris Albright and FC Dallas youngster Brek Shea to clinch the award.
