Sampdoria want to bring Sol Campbell to Italy.

The Mirror says Samp president Riccardo Garrone is keen on the former Arsenal and Portsmouth defender.

Campbell is a free agent after quitting Notts County after just one appearance last week. The veteran stopper cannot play for a new club until January, though his representatives are attempting to have that ruling overturned.
