Sampdoria coach Gigi del Neri has snapped back at Inter Milan boss Jose Mourinho after Saturday's shock win.
Mourinho dismissed Del Neri in the post-match media conference, pointing out how he was sacked as Porto coach.
The Samp boss replied last night: "If this is what he said, then Mourinho would've done better to keep staying silent.
"We deservedly won this match against a big club by working hard and putting in the quality too.
"My inspiration came from that Atalanta win last season, as if you want to beat them, then you have to force their champions to think about defending.
"You need to hit them hard every time you can. You require quality to achieve that and we had it, matching them blow for blow with character and technique."
